5:00-5:30pm    PRESCHOOL/BASIC DANCE CLASS

5:15-6:00pm    PRE-TEEN DANCE CLASS

6:00-6:30pm    TEEN/YOUNG ADULT DANCE CLASS

6:00-7:00pm    THEATER CLASS

What is Extra Special Steps?

 A motivational program in dance and theatre arts for an individual with special needs.

Since 1998    

"ESS"  is a unique program developed by trained professionals to introduce

individuals with special needs to the theatre arts.  The design of the

program focuses on each individual's skills and abilities.  The program

is structured to enable each student to learn, given the specific level of

attention they require.      

 

 CLASS offerings include:

  • Small Group Dance

  • Preschool Dance

  • Theatre Workshop

  • Voice Lessons

  • Individual Classes

  • Recitals

  • Performances

The program has been successfully adapted for students with:

  • Autism/PDD

  • Down Syndrome

  • Cerebral Palsy

  • Learning Disabilities

  • Physical Challenges

  • Hearing Impairment

  • Visual Impairment

  • Developmental Delays

 PARTICIPATION IN THIS PROGRAM HELPS PROMOTE:

  • self-confidence

  • peer interaction

  • socialization

  • motor coordination

  • strengthening

  • flexibility

  • auditory processing

  • language skills
